Susannah Nathanson studied at Edinburgh College of Art and the University of Edinburgh, graduating in 2008 with an MA in Fine art. Since then she has taken on a number of commissions and participated in a variety of group shows around the UK. She had her first solo show earlier this year at Putney Library which was exclusively themed around Putney and the river.
Susannah is a figurative painter and printmaker whose work covers a broad spectrum of themes including local landscapes and river scenes, portraits and still life, with a particular interest in old toys and the theatre. A bright, painterly approach characterises her work along with a desire to create different moods and atmospheres within a composition.
